Miami Heat rookie Kasparas Jakučionis neared a double-double Saturday on assignment in the G League to help the Sioux Falls Skyforce defeat the Grand Rapids Gold.

Jakučionis produced 25 points, nine rebounds, six assists and four steals in the 140-130 victory at the Sanford Pentagon. He shot 9-of-15 from the field, including 4-of-7 from 3-point range, in 30 minutes as the Skyforce improved to 7-3.

The 20th pick registered his first 20-point outing in six appearances with the Skyforce. He showcased his outside shooting, while he also converted several crafty finishes at the rim after penetrating the paint throughout his time on the court.

Jakučionis has yet to debut with the Heat after missing the start of the season because of a right groin strain sustained in the preseason. Out of the rotation, he has spent extensive time with the Skyforce in an effort to log consistent playing time against high-level competition.

The 19-year-old is averaging 16.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.8 steals on 32.3% shooting from 3-point range with the Skyforce. He is among 10 first-round picks this year who have played at least one game in the G League.

With playing time unavailable, Jakučionis will likely continue to play extended minutes with the Skyforce. The team was excited to add him to the roster via the draft and will look to maximize his development on the court in the G League.
