Nov. 29—BEMIDJI — The
Beltrami County Historical Society
invites the public to a special community screening of historic
Bemidji High School
sports films at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Historic Chief Theater, 314 Beltrami Ave. NW.

These films — believed to have been made by the BHS AV Club — capture football, hockey and other athletic events from some of the most memorable eras in local sports history, a release said.
"These reels offer an extraordinary window into Bemidji's past," BCHS Executive Director Emily Thabes said in a release. "From championship-caliber hockey teams to unforgettable football seasons, these films show how deeply sports have shaped community spirit across generations."
The program will be emceed by local sports broadcaster Joel Hoover.

The digitization was supported in part by a Minnesota Historical Society Legacy Grant and completed by The Negative Space, a professional archival film digitization vendor.
