They no-showed again on home ice and were blown out by the Lightning to bring their winning streak to an end.
To make matters worse, defenseman Adam Fox was injured late in the contest.

The All-Star wasn’t able to make his way back trailing by two down the stretch.
Postgame, head coach Mike Sullivan didn’t have much of an update on Fox’s status other than the fact that he was still being evaluated by the training staff.
If he were to have to miss some time it would be a huge blow for the Blueshirts.
Fox not only makes up half of their top defensive pairing, but he is also drives this team’s offense and is the quarterback of their top power play unit.
