They played some of their best basketball in the 95-59 victory over Florida State in the Battle of the Bay.
Through the first few games, Coach Bucky expressed concern about the intensity of his team and their ability to close out games. We have witnessed progress, but in this matchup against a quality opponent, they put together a complete performance despite the absence of one of their best players, Rylan Griffen.
"We're getting better and better by the day, the more we get our guys together. I thought we were going to have our first game, everybody ready to go, and dang, we are doing it without arguably one of our, maybe our best player, one of them, Rylan Griffin."
What was even more impressive was how well the defense performed and how strong the rebounding was. That has been another emphasis for Coach Bucky, and they took meaningful steps forward in this game.
"We are a pressure team that gets up and pressures, but hey, we grew that lead out there. We were able to run our zone and we were good in our zone"
"So, we had to have some guys step up, you saw Rashaun he had 17points, 17 rebounds. I'm more proud of the 17 rebounds than anything else."

Texas A&M will travel to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to face the Pittsburgh Panthers in the ACC-SEC Challenge on Tuesday, December 2, at 6 p.m. CT. The game will air on ESPNU.
