Take a journey Behind Enemy Lines to get a better idea of what the Seahawks are facing on Sunday

Behind Enemy Lines with Vikings Wire ahead of Seahawks' Week 13 gameStory byKole Musgrove, Seahawks WireSat, November 29, 2025 at 7:29 PM UTC·3 min read

The Seattle Seahawks are back in action this weekend for a home rematch against the Minnesota Vikings. Last season, it was Sam Darnold and the Vikings who knocked Seattle out of the playoffs. Now, the Seahawks are led by Darnold and will get their chance at revenge. The Vikings are a common opponent for Seattle, and therefore the 12th Man is already quite familiar with them. However, there is always something new to be learned.

Join us as we take another trip Behind Enemy Lines. This time, we speak with our friend Andrew Harbaugh of Vikings Wire to help us get a better idea of the team the Seahawks will be facing on Sunday.

No. 1 - JJ McCarthy is OUT... what can we expect from Max Brosmer?

Not to be too harsh on him, but they will not be too aggressive in their play calling or offensive approach. I expect a heavy running game presence with Brosmer taking maybe a handful of chances. That being said, this offense has been lackluster all year, so perhaps he goes out there with nothing to lose and lets it rip. It could really go either way for them.

No. 2 - How much is Sam Darnold missed? Did Minnesota make a mistake letting him walk?

If the Vikings had Sam Darnold right now, they could be in contention for the NFC North. McCarthy has just looked lost, and the loyalty they are giving to him is dwindling at times as it takes a lot of rational decision-making out of their thinking. In my opinion, they 100% made a mistake letting Darnold walk. McCarthy has been unhealthy and mentally making a ton of mistakes, which tells me he wasn't ready for this, and he may never be.

No. 3 - Give Seahawks fans one reason to be genuinely worried on Sunday

The pass rush of the Vikings is a problem when everyone is working together. Jonathan Greenard and Andrew Van Ginkel get all the attention, but it is Jalen Redmond and Jonathan Allen in the middle who have played really well together this year. If the pass rush is working for the Vikings, not many teams can keep up with it. The Lions saw firsthand what can happen, so no one can handle it.

No. 4 - Who is a non-household name Viking the 12th Man should be aware of?

I talked about him above, but Jalen Redmond has really broken out in his second year. The former UDFA has become one of the better interior defenders in the NFL this season with his ability to stuff the run, but especially in how he creates pressure. He is not known much outside of Minnesota, but he should be.

No. 5 - Who wins and why?

I think too much is going wrong for the Vikings at this point in the year. The offense is in shambles, the defense is inconsistent, and the special teams are even falling apart. The Seahawks seemingly took the loss to the Bucs and got better from there, as it was a wake-up call. I think Sam Darnold has a big-time performance as he proves to Minnesota they made a mistake, while the Vikings' offense struggles all game long. I predict the score to be 34-10 in a game that show just how ugly things are getting for the Vikings.
