GEAUX!!!
Playing Nice: Zachary Junda and Jack Shields
Three Specific Predictions: Saul Garcia
Win or lose, today will be a momentous day for the LSU football program.
First of all, this will be LSU’s first time ever playing a game inside the state of Oklahoma. We throw the word “historic” around a lot, but this truly is a historic event for LSU. You’ve been playing football for 130 something years and today is the first time in history you’ve ever done something, by letter of the law that is history.

And, oh yeah, I suppose there’s an actual game that will be played. “LSU vs. Oklahoma” was thought to be a playoff game coming into the season, and it is…for the Sooners at least. Simply put Oklahoma’s in the CFP with a win and out with a loss today. LSU can play spoiler and head into 2026 riding the high of ending a conference rival’s playoff dreams on their home field.
I don’t expect that to happen, however. LSU’s offense is broken and the Tigers have to go up against the best defense in the conference. Fortunately, Oklahoma’s offense hasn’t fared much better lately, so be prepared for a rock fight.
Ultimately, I think Oklahoma comes out on top of this rock fight. Being at home, with something to play for, is reason enough for me to expect the Sooners to get the win and punch a ticket for the College Football Playoff.
Final Prediction: Oklahoma 16, LSU 7
