Browns elevate DE Sam Kamara from practice squad vs. 49ers

As the Cleveland Browns get set to take on the San Francisco 49ers at home on Sunday, they have requested some help from their practice squad. They have elevated defensive lineman Sam Kamara from the practice squad for tomorrow's matchup.

Kamara has appeared in 15 games for the Browns over the last four seasons. He has been a mainstay on the practice squad but has also spent a great deal of time on the active roster over the last half-decade in Cleveland. He is being called up from the practice squad for this Week 13 matchup due to two injuries along the defensive line.

Both Alex Wright and Adin Huntington have been ruled out for this game. This means that Kamara should even have the opportunity to see some rotational snaps along the defensive line on Sunday afternoon.

The defensive line is incredibly important for the Browns over the next few weeks as defensive end Myles Garrett looks to break the NFL single-season sack record. He needs all the help he can get from the interior defenders to give him one-on-one matchups in this one.
