Browns, Niners Week 13 injury report: Both teams rule 3 players out; RB questionable

Saturday, the calm after the storm of Thanksgiving and before the storm of Week 13’s matchup between the Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers, is also the day of The Game between The Ohio State University and Michigan. It is also a day when storms in Northeast Ohio and other parts of the country might continue to brew up some nasty weather.

Niners QB Brock Purdy has not fared as well in bad-weather games so far in the NFL, another little detail that could help the Browns and their slim playoff hopes this week.

Injury reports this week have seen some ups and downs, with a lot of veterans resting early in the week. With Friday’s practices in the books, Cleveland and San Francisco have listed three players on each side as out for Week 13 on their final injury reports.

Browns Injury Report

• TE Brenden Bates – Ankle – Out

• DT Adin Huntington – Quad – Out

• DE Alex Wright – Quad – Out

• RB Jerome Ford – Hamstring – Out

Ford returned to practice on a limited basis on Friday while the other three players sat out all week.

49ers Injury Report

• LB Tatum Bethune – Ankle – Out

• DT Sam Okuayinonu – Ankle – Out

• K Eddy Pineiro – Right hamstring – Out

With Pineiro out, San Francisco will need to elevate K Matt Gay for Sunday’s contest.
