Manchester City v Leeds: Gut Feelings

Manchester City will aim to get their title charge back on track as they welcome struggling Leeds United to the Etihad Stadium. Both teams are desperate for the points but for very different reasons and City should welcome back a plethora of stars after a much-changed line-up against Leverkusen on Tuesday.

City won the last match against Leeds and the Faithful will be hoping for a repeat of the match in December 2021, when a masterclass of attacking prowess say the Blues run out 7-0 winners.

As usual, our team are here to give us their thoughts and predictions on the match. Here’s what we think this week.

Tricky matchup. Have a rested side and one that should be motivated. 3-1. City.

City 3-1 Leeds

As worrying as this may sound it’s a must win for City. Two defeats on a bounce cannot become three, particularly against Leeds at the Etihad. I think they’ll get back to winning ways in this one.

City 3-0 Leeds

Home match against Leeds. Surely City won’t lose 3 on the bounce.

Leeds low on confidence and City have a point to prove. I’m going for a big win. Why not? It’s not like I get a prediction right…ever!

City 6-0 Leeds

Pep’s changes didn’t pay off and City suffered a Champions League defeat. They could have done without that, with Real Madrid the next CL opponents, but it is what it is.

Of course, none of our team got it right but Will was spot on, just for the wrong side, while Saul got the right goal difference. Both pick up extra points there. Thomas and Pete were well out and get nothing…for a change!
