Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany has seen the rise of yet another academy product. Regardless of whether he has had to play Karl due to injuries or whether he would have given the youngster a role anyway, Kompany has been behind the 17 year old’s meteoric rise this season. However, Kompany also understands the importance of having fun when playing the game. Per @iMiaSanMia, he mentioned: “As a young player, you don’t have pressure. I want Lennart to feel that too. He has to enjoy what he’s doing.”
However, what might happen if Karl makes a mistake? Kompany does not seem to mind too much: “If he makes mistakes, we’ll discuss it. Hopefully, at some point, the pressure will be on his shoulders.” For now though, Kompany wants the youngster to enjoy it all: “But for now he should enjoy the moment without any pressure.”
If Karl can stay the course, Bayern might have another Raumdeuter on their hands…
