Alabama plays Eastern Illinois this week.

Instead of writing about X factors this week in a game where the Crimson Tide are heavily favored to win, we decided to take a look at a few younger players who could make a big impact this Saturday. Each of these players can have a critical impact down the stretch for Alabama, especially next week against Auburn.

But they need to find their niche as consistent players on the field for Alabama. They definitely have flashed All-SEC potential. Saturday is an opportunity for them to emerge and build confidence.

Alongside other names such as Keelon Russell and AK Dear, among others, let's take a look at three younger players who could shine against Eastern Illinois on Saturday.

Kevin Riley, Running Back, Redshirt Freshman

Kevin Riley is a redshirt freshman who has flashed some good things for Alabama. Riley has rushed for 186 yards and received for 139. He has almost rushed for four yards per carry and he has caught 16 passes. Those are good numbers for a player who has other running backs to compete with.

He is dynamic and versatile. He is not a true between the tackles running back, but a great complimentary back. With Daniel Hill emerging, Riley can be a great compliment to him. Riley can have some critical reps in the offense and would fit Ryan Grubb's gadgetty style because of his versatility and excitement.

London Simmons, Defensive Tackle, Freshman

London has shown that he can be a dominant player. However, you want to see more consistency and that comes from repetitions. London is currently second on the depth chart and has already made some key plays for Alabama. He is getting reps behind upperclassmen Tim Keenan III and James Smith. Simmons had a key sack and a fumble recovery on the year.

He shows twitch and an ability to disrupt. He has been a problem in certain games. Saturday is a game he can dominate. This will help him contribute in more meaningful games down the stretch.

Lotzeir Brooks, Wide Receiver, Freshman

Lotzeir is another freshman ready to take that next step. Lotzeir has been great on special teams this season. He also has 22 receptions for 334 yards. He is 5'9, which makes him a different type of wide receiver than Horton, Bernard, or Williams. He has flashed excitement and big play ability. He just needs to build on field chemistry with Ty Simpson.

Simpson likes to spread the ball around. He usually throws to the open man. Hopefully, the two of them can find each other on the field on Saturday and continue to build that.
