Nov. 29—WILLMAR — The Willmar WarHawks started strong and cruised past the Alexandria Blizzard 7-0 in an NA3HL West Division junior hockey game Friday night.
Willmar scored five first-period goals, including two short-handed. And, Jacob Brumm made 37 saves in net to record the shutout before 675 fans at the Willmar Civic Center Arena.

Aidan Callaghan and Carson Wendorff each had two goals for the WarHawks. Callaghan scored twice in the first period, recording his eighth and ninth goals of the season. The forward from Chicago also has 14 assists in 15 games.
Wendorff scored a short-hander in the first period and added an even-strength goal in the second. The forward/defenseman from Litchfield has seven goals and four assists in 17 games.
The other short-hander came from Gabe Adams at 4:55 of the first period. Adams, a forward from Bellevue, Nebraska, has nine goals and five assists in 17 games.
