The top high school football teams in Michigan are set for state championship games across eight divisions this weekend.

The state's top two teams in the MaxPreps national rankings, No. 21 Cass Tech and No. 65 Detroit Catholic Central, will close out the proceedings Sunday night as the Technicians seek a second consecutive Division 1 title.

Plenty of drama awaits before that showdown, though. Three other teams also are looking to repeat as champions: Orchard Lake St. Mary's in D2, Pontiac Notre Dame Prep in D5 and Jackson Lumen Christi in D6, with Lumen Christi trying for a fourth straight state title after winning the D7 crown in 2022 and 2023.

Where are Michigan high school football championship games played?

All eight MHSAA finals in 2025 will be played at Ford Field in Detroit.

The home of the Lions will host four games Friday and Sunday, with Michigan State playing Maryland at the stadium in between on Saturday.
