The Eagles are 8-4 and showing signs of 2023 after losing their second straight game in ugly fashion. After blowing a 21-point lead to Dallas last Sunday, Philadelphia was dominated by the Chicago offensive line as the Bears racked up 281 rushing yards and 425 total yards, as Ben Johnson's team is now 9-3 and the second-best record in the NFC.
Philadelphia is tied with Kansas City for the 2nd-highest home winning percentage (.833, 30-6) in the NFL since 2022 (including playoffs), behind Buffalo (.838, 31-6), but looked out of sorts as Jalen Hurts had a fumble and threw one interception on the afternoon. A.J. Brown had 100 yards, but Saquon Barkley again was held under 100 yards and finished with just 56 yards (4.3 avg) on 13 carries.

With preparation for the Chargers set to begin, we're looking at takeaways and observations from the Bears' gigantic 25-14 upset of the World Champions.
Bear defense
Dennis Allen outcoached Vic Fangio, and his unit clearly outplayed the Eagles' offense. Chicago held the Eagles to two rushing touchdowns, 87 yards rushing, 4-12 on third downs, and 1-2 in the red zone.
Kevin Patullo, Eagles offense
The Eagles are 10-of-35 on 3rd down over their last three games (28.6%) and were 4-of-12 on Friday, running 51 plays compared to the Bears' 85. Philadelphia had 317 total yards, was 1-2 in the red zone, and held the ball for 20:42. It was another dreadful performance from the Eagles' offense, and it'll be highlighted by Ben Johnson's play-calling brilliance with the Bears.

It wasn't pretty, but the second-year quarterback outplayed Jalen Hurts and came away with the win. Williams was 17-36 passing for 154 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and a 56.9 QB rating.
Jalen Carter-Moro Ojomo-Jordan Davis
The dynamic trio was null and void outside of Carter's sack. Jordan Davis had nine tackles, Carter had four tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, and two QB hits. OJomo had four tackles on the afternoon as the Eagles were battered up front.
Vic Fangio
Fangio's unit was dominated, his pass rushers struggled, and the Eagles' defensive coordinator had too many opportunities in which Reed Blankenship or Sydney Brown was left one-on-one in coverage against the Bears' tight ends, Cole Kmet and Colston Loveland.
