The MLB Winter Meetings are right around the corner. For those unfamiliar, this is a four-day event where representatives from all 30 teams will be in attendance.

The representatives talk about anything from what the open market is looking like, their needs, and will gauge the trade market. Plenty of moves are expected to be made when the meetings begin on December 8.

Do not be surprised if some teams decide to part ways with some of their top prospects. Last year at this time, the Chicago Cubs decided to part ways with their No. 7 prospect and a few others to acquire Kyle Tucker, who is now a free agent.

The New York Yankees are expected to be plenty busy over the next few months. They would love to retain Cody Bellinger, and have a need to bring in a few arms to help bolster the starting rotation early and the bullpen.

The Bronx Bombers do have a high-ceiling pitching prospect in Carlos Lagrange, but he is still working his way through the minors. He is still looking to develop a crucial third pitch before he gets called up.

However, with his high upside, he could be viewed as a great centerpiece for a potential trade. Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter believes he is someone fans will want to keep an eye on during the Winter Meetings.

"The Yankees have not been shy about selling high on their top pitching prospects in recent years, and with shortstop George Lombard Jr. almost certainly untouchable, it makes sense that teams would target one of Lagrange, Elmer Rodriguez, or Bryce Cunningham as the centerpiece in a major trade."

Maybe a combination of Lagrange and another could be enough to secure Tarik Skubal, if the Detroit Tigers make him available over the winter. Or a smaller package could bring in MacKenzie Gore, another frontline starter that could hold the rotation down until Gerrit Cole and Carlos Rodon can return.
