Wisconsin football's former top class of 2026 commit, wide receiver Jayden Petit, committed to Oklahoma on Thursday afternoon.

Petit had been committed to the Badgers since June, though he just recently announced his decommitment on Wednesday. Oklahoma was an early contender to land the four-star wideout, plus hosted him on a gameday visit in late October. While Petit remained committed to a struggling Wisconsin program for much of the 2025 season, the writing was on the wall that a flip could be on the horizon.

247Sports currently lists Petit as the No. 93 overall player in the class, the No. 13 wide receiver and the No. 12 recruit from Florida. He joins an Oklahoma class of 2026 that currently ranks No. 14 nationally with 25 players committed.

Wisconsin's class, meanwhile, ranks No. 71 in the nation with 13 players committed after the receiver's departure. The program must work hard to keep that remaining group intact, as four-star running back Amari Latimer is one of several players receiving major interest elsewhere.

The class of 2026 landscape will gain further clarity when the Early Signing Period opens on Dec. 3.
