Okay, what was that? If we had missed Baltimore Ravens vs. Cincinnati Bengals live and recorded it to watch later, we would have sat down fully expecting a Baltimore win. We’ve all been there — recording a game, dodging updates, hoping to enjoy it fresh. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

But even if someone had spoiled the result before we got home, we still would have watched. And even knowing the outcome, we still would have expected the Ravens to win. That’s how stunning this performance was.

That's how confident we were that Baltimore would rise to the occasion. Instead, we're left with a familiar feeling, one we've felt too often this year. We're disappointed, and we think the Ravens ought to be disappointed with the result in this one.

The Good we saw during the Ravens' Week 13 loss vs. the Cincinnati Bengals

With time running out on the first quarter, a Lamar Jackson turnover set the Bengals up with a first-and-goal scenario at Baltimore's two-yard line. Four plays later, they turned the ball over on downs as Zach Orr's unit authored a goal-line stand.

This was an ugly loss. It was so frustrating that it became harder to remember the game as it went along. Still, from a night covered in dark clouds, this was a silver lining.

The 'bad' from Baltimore's loss

At this point, we never want to see a Ravens receiver lose control of the football inches from the goal line again. Isaiah Likely was oh so close to his first touchdown of the season.

Instead, a 43-yard catch and run ended with Bengals safety Jordan forcing a fumble short of the goal line. The ball was fumbled out of the back of the end zone. A touchback was the result.

The Bengals responded by driving into field goal range and nailing one from 24 yards out to take a 9-7 lead on the scoreboard. That sparked an onslaught, and the Ravens were outscored by a 23-7 margin the rest of the way.

The ugly - Things we hope we'll never see again

Naturally, in a game this ugly, it's easy to identify things that are more so. Seeing Taven Bryan (knee) and RB Justice Hill (neck) added to the injured reserve certainly qualifies.

Nate Wiggins left the game with a foot injury. You certainly hate to see that, but the worst part is that Baltimore missed an opportunity to continue putting their stamp on what we believe will eventually be another Ravens division title. The offense committed five turnovers. How in the heck is a team going to win a professional football game when that happens?

This was Joe Burrow's first game back, and it's almost as if Baltimore attempted to place him in the MVP race with a single performance. He still isn't 100% healthy, and the Ravens made him look like Tom Brady in a playoff game.

Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, and many of their teammates were given a Thanksgiving night treat to celebrate their dominating victory. That will stick in our minds for a while, and even though this may be the last time we see these two rivals battle one another on Thanksgiving, we never want to see anything remotely similar to that for as long as we live.
