The Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars face off in the first ot two meetings this Sunday in a divisional matchup at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee.
We're at the point in the fantasy football season where league playoffs are starting to shape up, and every game matters. Having the best lineup you can is crucial to continuing to play the last few weeks of the season.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementFor most of the season, the Titans have not had any players with much fantasy value, but that changes this week against the Jaguars. Let's take a look at which players to start and which ones to sit from this Week 13 matchup.
Start: QB Trevor Lawrence
If you're not starting a quarterback that's facing the Titans' decimated secondary, what are you even doing? Trevor Lawrence has six interceptions and five touchdowns in his last four starts, and a pedestrian 14:11 touchdown-to-interception ratio this season. However, the Titans have allowed 17 touchdowns while pulling in just five interceptions this season. You may have better options in one-QB formats, but Lawrence is going to get some points on Sunday, so if you have an opportunity to play him, you should.
Sit: Titans' running backs
Behind the Titans' offensive line, it's no wonder Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears aren't having great seasons. That's not going to change this week, either, as the Titans face one of the top run defenses in the league. Pollard and Spears haven't been able to get any kind of ground game going this season, and neither of them has any real fantasy value right now.

This might sound a little crazy, but, especially in deeper formats, Ward is a viable fantasy quarterback this week. Against an elite Seattle Seahawks defense, Ward produced his first multi-touchdown game in the Titans' 30-24 loss. He hasn't had much of a receiving corps to work with this season, with veteran receivers leaving or getting injured, leaving pass-catching in the hands of some talented rookies. And those rookies (Chimere Dike, Gunnar Helm) are making the most of those catches.
Many might say not to play Ward because the Jaguars rank second in the NFL with 13 interceptions, and Ward has thrown a few of those this season. But this same defense also allowed 22 touchdown passes, which ranks in the top five for most passing touchdowns allowed. The Jaguars' inconsistency will provide an opportunity for the Titans this week.
Sit: Jaguars' wide receivers
Hear me out, here. Brian Thomas and Parker Washington have combined for 841 receiving yards this season; one has 420, and the other has 421. They have split touches all season, and now that Jakobi Meyers is there, those touches will go down even more. Yes, the Titans' secondary is a disaster and can easily be picked through. But there are too many targets to consider any one of them to have fantasy value.

Dike has four touchdowns this season, leading all scorers for the Titans. Last week, he recorded his second receiving touchdown and his second special teams return touchdown in the Titans' loss to the Seahawks. He has proven to be a reliable outlet for Cam Ward in the absence of Calvin Ridley. Even if Elic Ayomanor returns to the field this week, the Jaguars' defense is average at defending wide receivers, and Dike has the talent to exploit their gaps. He could be en route to a big game this week.
