Where does Texans' C.J. Stroud rank among QBs in QBR entering Week 13?

With C.J. Stroud back in the saddle, sights have changed at the quarterback position for the Houston Texans.

They've also changed for the weekly QBR rating metric.

Stroud, who missed the past three games with a concussion, is still not officially cleared from concussion protocol, but he's returned to practice back-to-back days. Barring a change in his symptoms, Stroud should be cleared to play in Sunday's AFC South bout against the Indianapolis Colts.

For the season, Stroud has an ESPN "Total QBR" rating of 65.9, ranking 6th among 32 starting QBs entering Week 13. This is quite a surprise, since Stroud has been out for nearly a month, meaning other players have been given a leash to work on bolstering up their numbers to enter December. Looking at the other passers, Stroud has a higher QBR than Broncos starter Bo Nix, Steelers Pro Bowler Aaron Rodgers and New York Jets starter Justin Fields.

Unlike a traditional passer rating, the Total QBR “incorporates all of a quarterback’s contributions to winning, including how he impacts the game on passes, rushes, turnovers and penalties,” according to ESPN.
