It’s nearly here. Just about 24 hours until The Game, Ohio State is poised and ready for the fight, but until then there’s still some recruiting efforts worth mentioning.
Some positive vibes continuing on Thursday, the Buckeyes are still seeing their name in the running for top players. Here’s some of the latest on where Ohio State stands with multiple top targets.

It’s been a record-setting flip season for Ohio State. Convincing several players now to re-open their recruitments in favor of the Buckeyes, this coaching staff has been on a heater down the stretch. This close to signing day, the 2026 class has completely changed it’s original narrative, and there’s still some smoke that more could be coming.
Maybe the final piece to the class, Ohio State is still very much trying to flip CJ Bronaugh away from the Gators. A player that the Buckeyes have been in on for the last two months heavily, CJ’s commitment to Florida came earlier this year in June, but the last several weeks has seen Ohio State steal a ton of headlines.
Whether it be playing host to him for a game day visit or his offer coming in October, Tim Walton and crew are trying everything in their power to get him to Columbus.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementFortunately for Ohio State, the rumblings have continued to lead to crystal ball predictions in their favor and the last 24 hours has been no different thanks to the latest from oN3’s, Josh McCuistion. The No. 110 player nationally and the 12th best cornerback per the 247Sports Composite, the Buckeyes won’t decrease any of the attention they’ve paid to Bronaugh,
If these crystal ball submissions are any correlation, one more bout of good news could be on the way.
Buckeyes still in the mix for a top 2027 offensive tackle
The 2026 recruiting class taking much of the attention and rightfully so, yesterday still offered some positive news for the upcoming 2027 cycle when Texas native Qua Ford released the latest update in his recruitment. The No. 91 player nationally and the tenth best offensive tackle prospect per the 247Sports Composite, Ford is now down to just five schools he is still considering and the Buckeyes once again made the cut.

Keeping Ohio State in the mix as mentioned, the other schools to see the good news include Oregon, SMU, Tennessee, and Texas A&M.
Plenty of time to go, Ohio State will keep on tabs on this one with Tyler Bowen leading the charge. A real surge in success with this position group as of late, it wouldn’t be a shock to see the Buckeyes in the mix until the final call is made and if you win this type of player, your trenches are immediately improved.
