The Seattle Seahawks are multi-score favorites over the Tennessee TItans in Week 12. Mike Macdonald's defense will relish its opportunities versus a Titans offense scoring a league-low 14.3 points per game. It's been tough sledding for rookie quarterback Cam Ward, who is improving despite his lackluster surroundings.
We've identified three X-factors for the Seahawks on defense.
Ernest Jones IV, LB
It'll be somewhat of a revenge-game opportunity for linebacker Ernest Jones IV on Sunday. The Seahawks acquired Jones from the Titans in a midseason trade near the deadline last season. He thrived in Seattle, landing a multi-year extension from John Schneider this past offseason. The Seahawks will use him in a variety of ways to confuse Ward.
Nick Emmanwori, S
When the Seahawks selected Nick Emmanwori, they traded up to No. 35 overall with the Titans. Now Emmanwori will face the team who technically passed on an opportunity to draft him. Ironically enough, the Titans drafted their own safety, Kevin Winston Jr., with the selection they got back from the Seahawks.
Leonard Williams, DE
Leonard Williams will partake in "My Cause, My Cleats" this weekend. The initiative should motivate Williams to make a few splashy plays. He'll manage to take advantage of a Titans offensive line that is underperforming given all the free-agent and draft-pick resources poured into it.
