Subscribe to Newsweek Sports Betting 📩I'm a day late, but Happy Thanksgiving (and Black Friday) to all!
I'm thankful for a lot of things this holiday season, but especially everyone who welcomes us into their inbox and keeps reading.
And I'd be remiss not to thank Jameson Williams, Javonte Williams and Chase Brown for getting the long weekend started with a 3-for-3 showing on our Thanksgiving Day player props.
Hit the link below for my early ATS picks for all 16 games this weekend. I went 2-for-3 yesterday on a tough Thanksgiving Day for the betting favorites.
Note: We're going to keep today's Black Friday edition short (or at least shorter than usual) and sweet with a quick look below at Bears vs. Eagles this afternoon.
The hot take of the week will return in Week 14.

NFL Week 13 Early Picks Against The Spread: Best ATS Bets For All 16 Games12 min readBears vs. Eagles Betting Odds: Spread, Moneyline, Total (DK)
- Spread: CHI +7 (-108); PHI -7 (-112)
- Moneyline: CHI +270; PHI -340
- Total: 44.5 (over -108; under -112)
The Bears and Eagles both enter Week 13 at 8-3. While Philly's odds to win the NFC are just a bit longer than those of current Super Bowl favorite L.A., oddsmakers do not see Chicago as a real contender in the NFC.Â
The Bears' 8-1 record over their last nine games does not include many -- if any -- wins over likely playoff teams. Starting today, Chicago has a brutal schedule to close the season, as it faces the Eagles, Packers (twice), 49ers and Lions. The Bears' only remaining opponent with a losing record is Cleveland in Week 15.Â
Today, though, I like Chicago's chances of hanging with Philly, especially with defensive backs Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon back in the lineup.Â
I expect the Eagles defense to once again play well, but I don't see the Eagles' struggling offense lighting up a Bears D that will get a huge boost on the back end from the return of Johnson and Gordon. Chicago's still dealing with some injuries in the front seven, but the Eagles' running game just isn't the dominant force it was a year ago, and that's putting it lightly.Â
I'd be surprised to see the Eagles lose their second game in a row at home, but I don't see them pulling away, either. Remember, Philly has only won one game all year by more than a touchdown, and it hasn't scored more than 21 points since it blew out the Giants 38-20 back in Week 8.
Best bet:
-Â Bears +7Â (best odds: -108 at DraftKings)
Best Player Prop Bet: Caleb Williams Long. Rush o10.5 yards (-114 at FanDuel)
Williams has cashed this prop in four of his last five games, and I expect him to use his legs often today against one of the toughest defenses he's faced all season.
He has had at least one run of 11 yards or longer in 6 of 11 games this season, and he's had at least four rushing attempts in all but one game this year, which means he should get at least a few opportunities to use his legs today.
A bit of line-shopping also shows the value of this prop, as DK lists Williams at -125 to have a longest rush of over 10.5 yards. In a game where I don't feel great about too many individual players going off, this strikes me as a safe play with solid value at this price.
