I really doubted that Lea was ever seriously considering going anywhere, but with Vanderbilt having a 9-2 record going into tomorrow’s regular-season finale at Tennessee and still technically having playoff hopes, the university has reportedly finalized a contract extension with its football coach. No word on the details just yet, but it’s a clear sign that the current administration (both athletics and university) is very different from the one that let James Franklin walk to Penn State, or the one that let Eddie Fogler walk to South Carolina.
