Bjorn Bergstrom, Ducks WireFri, November 28, 2025 at 1:33 PM UTC·2 min readLess than a week after taking a celebratory victory lap for his prediction that the Oregon Ducks would "run through USC's face," five-star offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho has shut down his recruitment, locking himself in with the Ducks after committing in July.
It's a tremendous get for head coach Dan Lanning and his staff, as Iheanacho is On3 Sports' third-ranked offensive tackle and 15th-ranked overall player in the 2026 class. The hulking 6-foot-8, 366-pound tackle will enroll in the spring, increasing his chances of contributing as soon as next season.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementIheanacho had a bevy of offers across the country, ultimately choosing Oregon over the likes of the Penn State Nittany Lions, LSU Tigers and Auburn Tigers.
The Georgetown Preporatory product is a significant recruit for the Ducks' 2026 class, helping them reel in the fifth-highest rated class, according to 247 sports. Other offensive lineman in the class include four-star Tommy Tofi and three-star Koloi Keli.
It wouldn't be a surprise to see Lanning dip into the transfer portal for both depth and starting-level talent during the offseason, something he did after the 2024 season in bringing in Texas State's Alex Harkey at right tackle and Nevada's Isaiah World at left tackle.
