“I’ve got to” – Gary Cahill predicts Chelsea vs Arsenal result this Sunday

Chelsea legend Gary Cahill has predicted the Chelsea vs Arsenal game for this coming Sunday afternoon in the Premier League.

It’s the big one, and Cahill has billed it as a 6-point game due to the fact that Arsenal are top currently, and Chelsea are second.

We’ve already heard from Paul Merson this morning and his predictions for the game, and he has basically said that if Chelsea win then they are in the title race, but if Arsenal win then the Premier League title is all but over!

He said:

“If Arsenal win, the title race is over! I expect Manchester City to win this weekend, but even then, a win for Arsenal puts everything to bed.

“If Chelsea win this game, they automatically become title contenders. Then the expectations from this team changes and I’m not sure it will suit them. We saw how Chelsea were front-runners around December last season and they suddenly fell off.”

I think he’s made some good points there and within the rest of the quotes. But what does Cahill think will happen?

“Chelsea seem to turn up against the big teams, so I’m really looking forward to the game this weekend.

“It will be a big marker from Chelsea if they were to get a result and these are the games that you can’t lose if you want to go on and win a title. It’s a six-point game.

“I think Chelsea will win 2-1 against Arsenal this weekend. I’ve got to back the boys, and they turn up against the big teams.

“I think they’ll relish this opportunity and they’re coming off a massive win against Barcelona so confidence will be sky-high.”
