A more than two-week standoff between Disney and Google came to an end after the two sides agreed to a new carriage rights deal that brought Disney's slate of networks back to YouTube TV.

"We’re happy to share that we’ve reached an agreement with Disney that preserves the value of our service for our subscribers and future flexibility in our offers. Subscribers should see channels including ABC, ESPN and FX returning to their service over the course of the day, as well as any recordings that were previously in their Library. We apologize for the disruption and appreciate our subscribers’ patience as we negotiated on their behalf," YouTube said in a statement after the standoff came to an end.

Despite the new deal, ESPN opted to make an interesting final decision on its college football pregame show.

Despite agreeing to a new deal with YouTube TV, ESPN decided to allow the pregame show to run on its X account, essentially giving the product away for free. Top ESPN personality and college football analyst Pat McAfee will also stream the show on his X account while the program will be free to watch on the ESPN App.

"We're running it back! For the rest of the regular season, you can catch GameDay on the ESPN App, @PatMcAfeeShow and @ESPN," the "College GameDay" account said.

It's a curious move from the company that might be trying to regain some goodwill lost during its standoff with YouTube TV.

The college football pregame show runs from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. ET.
