Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur suggested Devonte Wyatt's ankle injury -- which happened in the fourth quarter of Thursday's win over the Detroit Lions -- is a significant one and appears to be season-ending.

"It doesn't look good, guys. I'm sick for him. I'm sick for us," LaFleur said at his post game press conference. "That's a critical loss for our football team, for our defense, obviously. I can't say enough great things about him in terms of just watching him mature not only as a football player but as a person. I have a lot of love for Devonte Wyatt, and I think the whole locker room does too."

Wyatt, a starter for the Packers at defensive tackle, got rolled up on by Warren Brinson on the Packers' final defensive play, a sack by Micah Parsons on third down late in the fourth quarter. He went down in immediate pain and eventually needed to be carted off the field.

LaFleur said Wyatt's injury made the Thanksgiving win a "bittersweet" one.

"Yeah, we're happy about the win, but we're sick about what happened to him," LaFleur said.

Wyatt had four tackles and a tackle for loss against the Lions. He missed time with a knee injury early in the season but has 4.0 sacks, six quarterback hits, seven tackles for loss and two pass breakups over 10 games.

Without Wyatt the rest of the way, the Packers will have to lean more on rookies Warren Brinson and Nazir Stackhouse at defensive tackle. Karl Brooks is the expected starter at defensive tackle once he recovers from an ankle injury.
