The Seattle Seahawks have been a train coming down the tracks all season. Sam Darnold has played great at QB, the defense has been solid, especially in the run game, and they have a WR who's been, without a doubt, the best in the league.

Jaxson Smith-Njigba has been everything and more for Seattle's offense.

He leads the NFL in receiving yards, is tied for second in receptions, and tied for fourth in receiving TDs. His pace is ridiculous, and he has already set the Seahawks franchise record for most receiving yards in a season.

These stats are all crazy, but there is one in particular that is truly mindblowing.

Smith-Njigba has more receiving yards than a QB has passing yards

Smith-Njigba's season is something that the city of Seattle has never witnessed before. His receiving numbers aren't just outpacing the rest of his competition at his position, but he's breached over into QB numbers.

Jaxson Smith-Njigba has more receiving yards on the season than Justin Fields has passing yards on the season. Granted, nobody is looking at the Jets as the pinnacle of offensive prowess, but this is still quite the feat.

Smith-Njigba broke out in year two, securing his first-ever 1000+ yard receiving season. In year three, though, he has absolutely exploded onto the scene, establishing himself as not only a WR1 but also as one of the premier receivers in the league.

The Seahawks have a fairly light schedule the rest of the way out, so truthfully, 2000+ yards is not out of the question for Smith-Njigba. It will come down to these last few weeks to see who wrestles away the OPOY trophy between Smith-Njigba and Colts RB Jonathan Taylor.
