This afternoon, our basketball team has the second of its games in the Ft. Myers Tip-Off. After soundly defeating East Carolina on Tuesday by a score of 89-56, we now get to take on another squad from the tobacco state. North Carolina comes into this game ranked 16th in the nation.
On Tuesday, the Tar Heels faced off against St. Bonaventure and came away with an 85-70 win. That game was much tighter than MSU’s game two days ago. North Carolina only had a two-point lead at halftime and did not stretch the lead to double digits until six minutes into the second half. In their defense, the Bonnies did come into the game with a 5-0 record. MSU and UNC now face off as 6-0 teams with a chance to pick up a massive resume-building win.
Today’s game is scheduled for 4:30 PM ET and will air on FOX.
