Official: Real & Atlético Madrid stars included in Champions League Team of the Week

High-profile players from the first-team ranks at both Real and Atlético Madrid have been named in the latest Champions League Team of the Week.

This comes owing to their respective efforts against Olympiacos, and Inter Milan.

In the case of the former, Kylian Mbappé is unsurprisingly the Blancos star included. The Frenchman was in nothing short of scintillating form on Wednesday night, in Athens.

En route to Real Madrid securing a much-needed return to winning ways, Mbappé put four goals past Olympiacos.

Turning focus to the other half of the Madrid divide, and it is José María Giménez who makes the cut.

Defender Giménez was responsible for a moment to remember yesterday evening, rising high to nod home a last-gasp Atlético winner against Inter Milan.

Both players, in turn, have been named amongst the best performing XI in the Champions League this week, joined by the likes of Marc Cucurella, Vitinha and Declan Rice.
