Jingle Bell Heist is shaping up to be a huge new holiday season hit for Netflix. The heist comedy movie is plenty festive with a prominent enemies-to-lovers story, and is now climbing the streaming charts. Jingle Bell Heist is directed by Michael Fimognari, written by Abby McDonald and Amy Reed, and stars Olivia Holt and Connor Swindells.

Jingle Bell Heist follows Sophia and Nick, two thieves who realize that their plans to rob one of London's biggest department stores during the holiday season overlap. Thus, they reluctantly team up but then fall in love while carrying out the heist. The movie's cast also includes Lucy Punch, Peter Serafinowicz, Poppy Drayton, Michael Salami, Mariah Louca, and

Chyna-Rose Frederick.

Jingle Bell Heist is no massive critical hit, with a 60% Rotten Tomatoes score, just earning it the "certified fresh" label. However, it has become a quick audience favorite: Jingle Bell Heist is No. 1 among the Top 10 Movies in the U.S. Today on Netflix, overtaking fellow 2025 holiday rom-com Champagne Problems at No. 2.

Jingle Bell Heist is also domestically ranking above the new animated streaming hit In Your Dreams, as well as the sleeper Oscar contender Train Dreams, and the resident Top 10 megahit KPop Demon Hunters. However, according to FlixPatrol, Jingle Bell Heist has not yet made it into the Top 10 Movies in the World on Netflix, with Champagne Problems still at No. 1 globally.

The streamers are bound to release a few new holiday flicks each year, and Netflix has offered up a couple of interesting and contrasting ones this season. ScreenRant's Emedo Ashibeze reviewed Jingle Bell Heist and generally praised it, giving it a 7 out of 10 and calling it "a light-hearted film that captures the festivities of Christmas."

But Ashibeze also says that Jingle Bell Heist "uses its Bonnie and Clyde-esque duo to deliver a redemption story that doesn't dig too deeply into its romance elements but lets them unfold naturally." The funny Netflix feature presents its tropes in an enjoyable way, with plenty of Christmas trappings, thus making it perfect light-hearted seasonal fare.

Jingle Bell Heist could easily remain popular in the coming weeks and soon overtake Champagne Problems globally as well. In the heart of the holiday season, these two movies will probably continuously be the biggest on Netflix, while some other modern Christmas favorites may see a resurgence, as people seek to have comforting watch parties while it's cold outside.
