Alex Ovechkin doesn't know anything else. He just keeps scoring goals.

Ovi followed that plan well on Thursday night.
With the Capitals taking on the Montreal Canadiens, Ovechkin turned back the clock with a hat trick.
In the process, Ovechkin became the oldest player to ever score a hat trick against the Canadiens.
Sportsnet shared this stat: "Alex Ovechkin (40 years, 64 days) - Oldest player in history to score a hat trick vs the Canadiens (regular season or playoffs). Previous mark: Bruins Jean Ratelle (38 years, 212 days) in Game 4 of the 1979 Stanley Cup Semi-Final."

He's on a near-point per game pace even this season. Ovechkin has now taken the ice for 21 games and has 10 goals and 10 assists.
In his career, Ovechkin's NHL record is up to 907 goals. He also has 736 assists to give him 1,643 points overall in 1,512 career games.
Ovechkin is on fire right now, too. He has scored in each of the Capitals' last four games. That was a goal apiece on Nov. 15, Nov. 17 and Nov. 19 before his hat trick on the 20th.
The Capitals have won the last three games as Ovechkin has gotten rolling, too.
His ice time is way down from his prime, but the Capitals make sure Ovechkin gets ample time in the offensive zone.

It looks like Ovechkin's all-time goals record will keep growing, at least for a little while.
