Star Tribune via Getty ImagesWeek 13 of the 2025 NFL season will kick off with a Thanksgiving Day triple-header and the first matchup is an NFC North rivalry showdown featuring the Green Bay Packers visiting the Detroit Lions at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
The Packers picked up a 23-6 victory over the Vikings this past Sunday, a win that allowed them to keep pace with the Bears for first place in the NFC North. Running back Emanuel Wilson stepped up huge in place of an injured Josh Jacobs and we’ll see how he follows that up in this holiday contest.
Below, we’ll go over Wilson’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 13.
Fantasy Football analysis: Packers RB Emanuel WilsonWith Jacobs sidelined with a knee injury, Wilson slid right in and had himself a career day with 28 carries for 107 yards and two touchdowns in their win over the Vikings last Sunday. The Packers were comfortable feeding him the rock all game long and he ended up being responsible for the team’s only trips to the end zone of the game, bringing his total to three over the last two weeks.
Jacobs is leaning towards returning for today’s Thanksgiving clash in Detroit, but one would imagine that we’ll still see plenty of Wilson after his performances over the past two weeks. The back himself is hopeful that this is the beginning of a dynamic 1-2 punch in the backfield and that could possibly boost the Pack as they make their push towards the postseason.
Start or sit in Week 13?Start. Even with Jacobs returning today, I’d imagine Wilson still getting plenty of work as the All-Pro eases his way back in. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him punch in a touchdown for a third week in a row and if I had him on my roster, I’d be comfortable starting him in a Flex spot this week.
