Austria targets Seleção's record at the U17 World Cup

Austria has qualified for its very first final at the U17 World Cup and will take on Portugal this Thursday, November 27, at the Khalifa International Stadium for the crown.

Das Team defeated Saudi Arabia (1-0), Mali (3-0), and New Zealand (4-1) in the group stage. They then knocked out Tunisia (2-0) in the round of 16, England (4-0) in the last 16, Japan (1-0) in the quarterfinals, and Italy (2-0) in the semis.
According to FIFA's official website, Brazil is the only other team to have accomplished the feat of winning every match in 2019.
So, a win for Austria's youngsters in the final against Portugal would allow them to equal the Seleção's record of eight consecutive victories in the tournament.
