With the expectation that the New York Jets are going to be looking for a quarterback in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, it's also important to remember that New York has another pick to make in the later part of the round due to the trade of Sauce Gardner with the Indianapolis Colts.

When examining who it might be, Mike Renner of CBS Sports recently predicted that Makai Lemon, a wide receiver out of USC, could be an option.
“Lemon is the perfect slot to pair with Garrett Wilson and Adonai Mitchell on the outside. He brings a level of reliability the Jets have been desperately missing. He's dropped only three passes on 126 catchable targets over the past two seasons,” he wrote.
Lemon has had some really nice moments throughout his college career and has truly shown that he has an opportunity to be an above-average talent.

Ultimately, the Jets are going to have to do what's best for the organization and try to find a WR2 to pair next to Garrett Wilson.
