The Arizona Cardinals announced a singular move on the practice squad on Wednesday. They added running back Montrell Johnson Jr.
Johnson is a rookie who signed with the Philadelphia Eagles this year after going undrafted out of Florida. He is 5-11 and 212 pounds.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementHe spent three seasons at Florida after beginning his collegiate career at Louisiana and total 3,089 yards and 33 touchdowns on 569 carries. Johnson also had 411 yards and two touchdowns on 61 receptions.
He didn't make the Eagles out of training camp and was on the practice squad briefly.
He gives the Cardinals two running backs on the practice squad to go with the three on the active roster.
