What a disappointing result for the club. The UCL nights are supposed to be a special occasion and this severely rotated squad was anything but. Despite efforts from Haaland and company who came in the second half, the lead was too much to overcome. City lose at home in Champions League. Not great.

They were good. We didn’t have that, you know, to believe, this is a moment to attack and this is the moment to defend.

I have to accept it. If we win it wouldn’t be a problem so I have to accept it that maybe it’s a lot but I think playing every two or three days we need to [make changes] but seeing the result, maybe it’s too much.
