There's no denying that Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is playing some of the best football of his career this season, and his stats back it up.

Dak is joint-second in the league for touchdowns (23), fifth in completion percentage (69.5), third in passing yards (2,941), second in passing yards per game (267.4), and seventh in rating (102.6), while the Cowboys are fourth in points per game (29.1).

And fresh off a superb comeback against the Philadelphia Eagles that saw Dak go 23 of 36 for 354 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and a 103.2 passer rating, it continues Prescott's superb 2025 season.

As such, for NFL.com's Nick Shook, in his latest quarterback rankings, Dak moves up to No. 3.

"Dak Prescott is back in the top tier and for good reason," Shook writes. "After two rough weeks, Prescott has returned to form, posting a 6:1 TD-to-INT ratio in his last two games. He led his team back from a 21-0 deficit like a seasoned warrior against the Eagles, keeping Dallas' postseason hopes alive and invigorating a fan base that has been rightfully frustrated for much of the fall. Don't doubt your fearless leader, Cowboys fans."

Prescott has chance to quieten haters vs. Chiefs

With Dak's performance against the Eagles now in the back of everyone's mind, attention turns to Thanksgiving, in a game that many expect to be the most-watched regular-season game in NFL history.

Hosting the Kansas City Chiefs, with the entire world watching as the Cowboys' season hangs in the balance, this is the ideal time for Prescott to continue in his rich vein of form.

Granted, Steve Spagnuolo's defense will make it tough; then again, many thought the same about Vic Fangio's defense, and look at what Dak did to them.

Still, with the entire nation watching and a narrative that Prescott doesn't step up in big games (despite him doing so several times), it is a chance to earn a lot of brownie points.

Beating the Eagles is one thing (Dak usually does anyway, 10-5 all-time), but slaying Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs on Thanksgiving with the season on the line? Yeah, that would be the very definition of a monumental win for Dak.
