The chaotic saga between the LSU Tigers and ex-head coach Brian Kelly has finally come to an end on Wednesday afternoon.
Yahoo Sports' Ross Dellenger broke the news that Kelly had finally received a formal termination letter from the Tigers, firing him without cause.

Given that Kelly made a complaint that this situation had made it harder for him to find new employment, expect the coach to be back in the hiring cycle at some point.
Ever since the school decided to part ways with their coach on October 26, the situation had turned from one that the fanbase celebrated into a media circus that was painting a negative picture of the operation.
Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry had gotten involved and criticized the former athletic director for the contract that led to the buyout in the first place. Getting the local government involved was only the start of the mess that occurred.

It then came out that after moving on from Woodward, the Tigers then sent a letter to Kelly's representatives stating that they had never officially fired him and would be seeking to terminate him "for cause" in order to avoid paying any of the buyout.
If they had actually gone that route, they would have had to show proof of "serious" misconduct on the coach's part that triggers the morality clause.
Now, Kelly gets his buyout and LSU gets to move on, setting their sights fully on his replacement.
