Blue Jays fans have plenty to be thankful for, because his signing came on the eve of Thanksgiving (well, stateside Thanksgiving, not Canadian Thanksgiving).

Still, plenty to be thankful for.

And Cease may feel right at home in Rogers Centre.

Admittedly, he's only ever made two MLB starts there. But he's been dominant.

Opposing hitters have batted .152 with a .557 OPS in Cease's two outings in Toronto. It's added up to a 2.57 ERA.

Cease has also been very good in his career at Fenway Park, a 1.62 ERA.

He has struggled more at Camden Yards (6.06 ERA), Yankee Stadium (4.91) and Tropicana Field (4.28) in a quick look around the AL East.

Cease is a big-time signing in general. It's clear the Blue Jays aren't happy with coming up one win short of the World Series crown.

He'll turn 30 on Dec. 28, and he'll immediately slot near the top of the Toronto rotation.

For the next seven years, based on the deal, Cease will be expected to keep the Blue Jays in permanent contention. If he pitches at home like he has in the small sample size so far in his career at the Rogers Centre, Toronto will be right in the picture every year.
