The rookie went 4-for-4 on field goal attempts and scored 14 points in total in the Week 12 victory. He is the first rookie kicker and fifth rookie overall in Patriots history to receive the award, according to the Patriots' communications team.

They might have finally found it in Borregales.
Recent years have shown how crucial a kicker with a big leg can be in today's NFL. Borregales' leg strength and confidence with the game on the line are two strong attributes that put him in line to have a bright future in New England.
