Roma hosts Midtjylland on Thursday, with the Danish team the only remaining Europa League team with a perfect record. Midtjylland has won all four matches and sits atop the Europa League table. Having already secured an away win at Nottingham Forest in the competition, Gian Piero Gasperini will need to make the right selections if the Giallorossi are going to come away with all three points.
And in a bit of good news, Gasperini has Paulo Dybala, Leon Bailey, and Mario Hermoso back at his disposal after all three returned to training this week.

Yesterday they trained with the team for the first time and today will be their second session, so if all goes well, they’ll be available. Minutes played are relative; what matters is that they are ready to play.
As for Hermoso, he trained very well yesterday, and today we’ll see him with Paulo Dybala and Leon Bailey. If I select them in the squad, it’s because they’re ready to play.”
The return of those three means only Angeliño and Artem Dovbyk remain unavailable. However, it isn’t expected that any of these three will start against the Danes. Still, this match could be a good chance for players like Dybala and Hermoso to get minutes ahead of Napoli on Sunday.
With Roma having won only 2 out of 4 matches to start the competition, Gasperini probably won’t be afforded much wiggle room for rotation. Therefore, we expect only a few changes from Sunday’s win against Cremonese. The three players expected to start are Devyne Rensch, Neil El-Aynaoui, and Evan Ferguson.

Meanwhile, El-Aynaoui, who drew the praise of Gasperini in his presser, will likely spell Manu Koné. Lastly, Rensch will slide into the right wing-back position, allowing Zeki Çelik to move back into the back three alongside Mancini and Ndicka.
ROMA (3-4-2-1): Svilar; Çelik, Mancini, Ndicka; Rensch, Cristante, El Aynaoui, Wesley; Soulè, Pellegrini; Ferguson.
