GIRLS BASKETBALL

  • Sophia Fernandez poured in a career-high 37 points and added seven assists, six steals and six rebounds, Danicka Lopez hit six 3-pointers and finished with 20 points, Sarah Cosio had three 3-pointers and finished with 18 points and four assists, and Lucille Devericks had nine points, four rebounds and four steals as St. Bonaventure (1-1) defeated Shalhevet 79-70 or Dee Pinkard's first win as head coach of the Seraphs.

  • Jalynn Rico had 12 points, six assists and two steals, Emma Campbell-Luna had eight points and four rebounds, Madilyn Stonebraker finished with six points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals, and Angie Aguilera had five points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals to lead Santa Paula (2-0) to a 44-42 win over Buena. Aralynn Hess finished with a game-high 25 points and five rebounds, Jaida Thomas had seven points and seven rebounds, and Taylor McCormick added six points, five rebounds and three steals for the Bulldogs.

  • Meli Ocegueda finished with 12 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists, four steals and a block, Yaneli Landin had 10 points, 11 rebounds, four steals, two assists and two blocks, and Andrea Ramirez had eight points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals to lead Fillmore (3-0) to a 47-31 victory over Simi Valley.

BOYS BASKETBALL

  • David Alvarez poured in 38 points, Andrew Valdovinos hit eight 3-pointers for the second straight game and finished with 30 points, and Christian Ordonez had 14 points to lead Santa Paula (3-0) to an 83-65 victory over Saddleback at the Huntington Beach Feast Week.

  • Jacob Kaleb Moreno scored 26 points, Izel Vargas had 23 points and Nathaniel Marin added nine points to lead Rio Mesa (2-1) to a 77-58 win over Fillmore.

  • Logan Stotts dropped in 31 points and added five rebounds, two assists and two steals, Tyson Howarth finished with 13 points, six assists, five rebounds and three steals, Yusuf Barakat had 11 points and five rebounds, and Cole Brown scored 11 points to lead Moorpark (3-1) to an 82-61 win over Grant at the Hart High Thanksgiving Tournament.

  • Maximo Luna scored 19 points and Jaden Whitehead 11 points to lead Camarillo (4-0) to a 51-49 win over Vasquez at the Hart High Thanksgiving Tournament.

  • Justin Albert finished with 13 points, 10 rebounds, three blocks and two assists, Ranbir Jain had 11 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals, Grady Olson scored 10 points, Lucas Markand contributed nine points, eight rebounds, four blocks and three assists, and Blake Christiansen had seven points, 15 rebounds, two steals and two blocks to lead Royal (2-0) to a 50-48 overtime win over Channel Islands.

  • George Hess had 18 points and four rebounds, Simon McElhanon finished with 15 points and six rebounds, and Christian Sloey had 15 points, nine rebounds and six assists for Newbury Park (4-1) in its 67-64 loss to Malibu at the North Hollywood Section Crossover Fall Showcase.

  • Beau Prophete had nine points and seven rebounds, Grant Shaw finished with nine points, seven rebounds and two steals, Srikar Potluri had eight points and six rebounds, and Jonathan Plax had seven points, four assists and three rebounds for Oak Park (3-2) in its 47-46 overtime loss to San Marcos.

  • Eric Hernandez hit five 3-pointers and finished with 19 points and Ashton Brown and Enzo Rivera each had 10 points to lead Foothill Tech (5-1) to a 72-44 victory over Del Sol.

  • Nathan Pang scored 15 points and Julius Bonilla had 13 points to lead Grace (4-0) to a 56-42 win over Santa Clara Christian.

  • Tristian Cardoso scored 20 points, Johnny Thyfault had 12 points, Gunner Goldberg had 11 points, and Logan Harwin and Noah Simon each had 10 points to lead Calabasas (2-2) to an 87-57 win over San Fernando Valley Academy at the West Valley Tip Off Classic.

BOYS SOCCER

  • Victor Espinoza scored off an assist from Aiden Gonzalez in the first half and Ignacio Ambriz recorded the shutout in net to lead Rio Mesa (2-1-0) to a 1-0 victory over Kennedy.

  • Ivan Perez, JP Rodriguez, and Dylan Lozano scored goals to lead Del Sol (3-0-1) to a 3-0 victory over Royal.
