Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt adds the prestigious honor of being named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week after his Week 12 performance against the Indianapolis Colts, contributing to Kansas City's thrilling comeback and overtime victory.

Hunt carried the ball for a season-high 30 times and became the Chiefs' first 100-yard rusher this year with 104 and a touchdown. The veteran running back was able to shake off a late-game fumble to lead the team in rushing in a must-win game.

The latest honor joins him with teammate Patrick Mahomes for earning Player of the Week awards this season. Mahomes collected his awards in Weeks 4 and 6 against the Baltimore Ravens and Detroit Lions.

This marks Hunt's second time winning the award, and the first time since Week 9 of the 2018 season. He becomes the fifth Chiefs running back to earn the honor multiple times, joining Priest Holmes (four-time winner), Larry Johnson (four), Jamaal Charles (three), and Pro Football Hall of Famer Marcus Allen (two).

He currently leads the Chiefs in total touches with 129, rushing yards with 457, and scrimmage touchdowns with 8 heading into Week 13.
