Early this week has been more reinforcement that Notre Dame football has one of the most talented teams in the country.
The Irish saw three of their stars being named to four different national award finalist lists, with star running back Jeremiyah Love leading the way. The junior was placed in the top group for the Doak Walker Award (nation’s top running back) against Ole Miss’ Kewan Lacy and Missouri’s Ahmad Hardy. Love also was named a finalist for the Maxwell Award (National Player of the Year), going up against Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza and Ohio State’s Julian Sayin. Expect those three to be Heisman Trophy finalist as well.
