Dak Prescott enters Thursday’s prime-time Thanksgiving clash with 2,941 passing yards, 23 touchdowns, and seven interceptions through 11 games — numbers that have him among the NFL's most productive QBs this season.

Patrick Mahomes has been nearly as prolific: 2,977 yards, 18 TDs, and seven picks through 11 games, carrying the Chiefs’ offense even as Kansas City has been more up-and-down than in recent title runs.

As one of the biggest games on the Week 13 slate, Prescott set the tone with a strong statement about Mahomes.

"Everything in his game," Prescott said of what he respects about Mahomes. "The way he plays it, at the end of the day, obviously talent jumps out, but you watch a guy who plays with pure passion, who'll do anything it takes to win."

"On the sideline, he's not necessarily always running out of bounds, trying to make the extra play, never giving up on a play, has the ability to throw it back across his body. He does it all right."

"What I respect most is just his will to win, you see it, he'll do anything and everything it takes."

Both teams sit squarely in must-win territory.

The Chiefs are 6-5 and chasing the AFC pack, while the Cowboys are 5-5-1 and clinging to relevance in a loaded NFC — a matchup that matters to division and wild-card math as much as it does to Thanksgiving viewership.

Dallas will lean on Prescott’s accuracy (69.3% completion rate) and a deep receiving group headlined by All-Pro CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, who ranks second in the league in receiving yards (1,054) and third in TDs (eight).

Mahomes, meanwhile, will look to spread the ball around in Kansas City's balanced offense, led by wide receivers Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, and Hollywood Brown, and future Hall of Fame tight end Travis Kelce.

The Cowboys offense leads the NFL in yardage (387.3 per game) and ranks fourth in scoring (29.1), while Kansas City counters with the league’s fourth‑best scoring defense (18.3 PPG) and a stingy 293 yards allowed per game.

One side will have to bend.

ESPN’s game listing shows Kansas City as short 3.5-point favorites in Dallas on the short week.
