The 2025 college football season has been full of twists and turns, and Week 14 is sure to deliver some unexpected results. It's a week lovingly referred to as "Rivalry Week" in college football circles, and it's here again to deliver unforgettable memories and important scores.
We've got an absolutely loaded slate on Thanksgiving weekend, and Friday and Saturday are filled to the brim with great matchups and crucial contests. Limiting it to five games to watch won't cut it this weekend, so I'm adding an extra game to the watch list for perhaps the best group of games we've seen together in one week this season.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementOf course, our eyes will be on how the Oklahoma Sooners perform in their must-win game against the LSU Tigers on Saturday, but this week will be an absolute treat to enjoy for college football fans across the country.
So, settle in and revel in it; here are the top six games to watch in Week 14.
1. Ohio State at Michigan, Saturday at 11:00 a.m. CT
Ohio State and Michigan will face off in "The Game" on Saturday, in one of college football's most iconic rivalries. The Buckeyes are undefeated this year and are pretty much a lock to make the College Football Playoff, but the Wolverines have won this matchup each time over the last four years. This matchup is always physical, and after the bad blood from how last year's game ended, things will get chippy early and often.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementRyan Day and the Buckeyes haven't really been tested since Week 1 at home against Texas, playing a really easy Big Ten schedule this year. That'll change against Sherrone Moore and the Wolverines, who have rebounded from a couple of losses to put themselves in position to make the conference title game if everything falls their way. Ann Arbor will be absolutely rocking on Saturday afternoon.
2. Texas A&M at Texas, Friday at 6:30 p.m. CT
Texas A&M travels to face Texas in the "Lone Star Showdown", with the Aggies looking to get revenge in Austin after the Longhorns won on the road in College Station in 2024. Texas A&M is unbeaten this year, basically a lock for the CFP, while Texas has struggled to a three-loss season in 2025. Still, this rivalry being back adds a great layer to Rivalry Week, as these in-state foes should be facing off in the last game of the regular season.

Meanwhile, Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns showed off some impressive offense in a big win over Arkansas last week. They have extremely long odds to make the playoff, but they could at least make it interesting if they pull the upset on Friday night.
3. Georgia vs. Georgia Tech, Friday at 2:30 p.m. CT
"Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate" is what they call it when the Bulldogs face the Yellow Jackets, and last year's game was an absolute classic. Georgia prevailed in eight overtimes, and Georgia Tech got so close to pulling off the big upset. This year's game will take place at a neutral site at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta (home of the NFL's Atlanta Falcons), with a lot on the line for both teams.

Neither is possible if they can't win on Friday. Georgia Tech and Brent Key need this one badly after losing to Pittsburgh last week, as they're no longer in the driver's seat to make the ACC title game. The winner of that game gets to the CFP, and the Bulldogs would love nothing more than to deny the Yellow Jackets that chance.
4. Vanderbilt at Tennessee, Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CT
The Commodores and the Volunteers give us another great in-state rivalry game this weekend, with both teams enjoying solid seasons. The 'Dores are sitting at 9-2 with losses to Alabama and Texas, while the Vols are 8-3, suffering losses to Georgia, Alabama and Oklahoma. Vanderbilt is hoping that some chaos elsewhere can push them into consideration for a CFP bid, but they've got to beat Tennessee to have any shot of that happening.

Both teams can climb in the SEC standings with a win, and bowl game supremacy and state pride are on the line. Two great veteran quarterbacks will get to duel as well, with Diego Pavia and Joey Aguilar both starting at the junior college level before finding themselves facing off on Saturday.
5. Miami at Pittsburgh, Saturday at 11:00 a.m. CT
This one isn't really a rivalry, but it is a key part of Week 14's fabric. The Hurricanes need a lot of help to make the ACC title game, and they also would need a lot of help to make the CFP as an at-large team. Miami is slowly rising in the rankings, but if there isn't some chaos in front of them, Mario Cristobal's team may have to backdoor their way into the conference championship game and win there to get into the bracket. That's still a long shot.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementIt's actually an easier road to the ACC title game for the Panthers. If Pat Narduzzi's team gets a win on Saturday and sees either Virginia or SMU lose, that'd put Pittsburgh in the conference title game, where a win means an automatic bid to the CFP. The caveat is that Pitt would have to win the league title game to get into the playoff, as they're ranked too low to have any shot as an at-large team. The ACC is a mess, but this is the game of the week in a wild league.
6. Arizona at Arizona State, Friday at 8:00 p.m. CT
It's the Wildcats and the Sun Devils for the Territorial Cup in Week 14, with Arizona looking to go on the road to Tempe and avenge last year's home loss to Arizona State in Tucson. Arizona can get to nine wins with a victory in this game, which would be a mark of improvement under head coach Brent Brennan this year. Additionally, they can ruin any chance Arizona State has of making the Big 12 title game.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementFor the Sun Devils, they can get back to the league title game if they beat the Wildcats, but they also need losses from BYU and Utah if Texas Tech wins over West Virginia. Kenny Dillingham's team won the conference last year, and if they're able to do so again, they'd get an automatic bid to the CFP. Both of these teams enter at 8-3, so the winner will have head-to-head bragging rights and the better overall record. Rivalry Week is beautiful.
