At least four people have died ater fire trapped people in high-rise apartment buildings in the Tai Po district of Hong Kong, reports said.

The fire spread on bamboo scaffolding set up around the exterior of the complex, local media reports said.

Live video from the scene showed an intense and rapidly burning fire.

The blaze was reported in the afternoon and upgraded to the second highest level of severity, the city’s Fire Services Department said.
