AUGUSTA, GA (WJBF)- It might be the offseason for baseball fans, but if you want your fix, head on over to the Richmond County Augusta Library.
On the third floor, you’ll find five full cases of baseball cards filled with players that have Augusta ties that have either played or won a World Series ring. That includes former GreenJacket and three-time World Series champion San Francisco Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner, and four-time champion Pablo Sandoval.

‘We’ve had so many great baseball players come through here, starting with Ty Cobb,” said baseball historian Lamar Garrard.
“George Stallings predated Ty Cobb, but then you come right on up and you have a lot of Hall of Famers play here, people like Hank Aaron played here, Joe Dimaggio played here in spring training, Jackie Robinson played here in spring training.”
The display will be available until December, with the hours of Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
