SAVANNAH, Ga. (FOX 56) — Kentucky and Texas went tick-for-tick in the SEC Tournament Championship until the very fifth set. The Cats complete the reverse sweep over the Longhorns 3-2.
Texas came out hot, taking the first two sets, but the Cats would not be denied, led by the SEC Player of the Year, Eva Hudson. Hudson finished with 25 kills, but it was a collective effort with libero Molly Tuozzo taking home the MVP honor.
Kentucky shone in the biggest moments down the stretch of the fifth set, stringing together a four-point run that finally gave the Wildcats some breathing room. And once again, it was Hudson who delivered, rising to put down the final kill and crown Kentucky the SEC Tournament champions.

We talked in the locker room before the match that worthy things are earned, and we certainly earned that today that victory and everything this season. So, we haven’t been given anything, and we don’t want it to be given as we march down the rest of the season,” said head coach Craig Skinner.
